This site provides computational biology resources for the moss Physcomitrella patens. On this page you will find the conditons of use and the option to register yourself for submission of bulk jobs.

Clustering and assembly of the virtual transcriptomes have been carried out using the Paracel Transcript Assembler (PTA) with a species-specific parameter set (see About/Citation and About/Literature).

This server uses a 24 CPU compute cluster and database frontend. Funding by the DFG is gratefully acknowledged.

Submitting bulk jobs (more than one sequence at a time) is possible, but you have to register first. To do so, please send us an e-mail, you will then receive an agreement that you need to return to us.

 

Conditions of use:
We do not guarantee the availability of the cosmoss.org services at all times. There might be downtimes due to hardware failure or maintenance.

At times when (high priority) bulk jobs run, computing time might be severely prolonged.

Because of the nature of EST clustering, contig names are not conserved during different clustering runs. We cannot guarantee to make old data available for prolonged periods of time. So you have to be aware that comparing BLAST searches against different versions of the virtual transcriptome will yield different results/contig names.
